In order to enhance students' environmental awareness and deepen their understanding of the importance of garbage classification and resource recycling, the Science and Technology Association of Miaohang Town, Baoshan District, recently organized representatives of teachers and students from the Second Central Primary School of Baoshan District to visit and study at the "Love Recycling·Love Classification" smart recycling machine site and the back-end sorting center. During the visit, teachers and students first came to the "Love Recycling·Love Classification" smart recycling machine site. Under the guidance of the staff, the students operated the smart recycling machine with their own hands and put the waste into the corresponding recycling port. The machine quickly identifies and automatically weighs, and gives corresponding points as rewards. This novel experience excited the students. They all said that the smart recycling machine is not only easy to operate, but also can provide instant feedback, allowing them to truly feel the fun and meaning of garbage classification and recycling.
Afterwards, the teachers and students visited the "Love Recycling, Love Classification" modern sorting center. Here, they witnessed a series of intelligent and standardized recycling processes such as transit transportation, refined sorting, and compression packaging. The advanced recycling technology opened the students' eyes and also gave them a more intuitive understanding of garbage classification and resource recycling.
This visit not only gave the students a deeper understanding of waste classification and resource recycling, but also made them realize their important role in environmental protection. The teachers and students of Baoshan District No. 2 Central Primary School said that they would take this visit as an opportunity to further promote waste classification knowledge on campus and guide more students to participate in environmental protection actions.
The Miaohang Town Science and Technology Association will work with Shanghai Wanwu Xinsheng Environmental Protection Technology Group Co., Ltd. to carry out more similar cooperative activities in the future to jointly cultivate young people's environmental awareness and social responsibility.
